Nation Poll

In honor of Halloween, we're calling out the scariest Democrats. Who scares you the most?

  1. Except for Grayson, I would say they are all scary!

    Posted by pjcasey at 10/30/2009

  2. What's scarier is that The Nation keeps referring to Obama as a "progressive" Democrat. No he is not & never has been. He's a moderate Republican from an urban area that doesn't elect Republicans & so he ran as a Democrat to get elected.

  3. Anyone who wants to give the Privaely owned for profit corporation know as the Federal Reserve mor power is a traitor to the American people! It pays no taxes and forces you to pay them with free labor( your income taxes, your sales taxes, etc) for 5 months of the year.

Obama wants to give this mother of all corporations more power.

It just pressed for more bailouts for its member

banks,.It is creating national debt which is wiping out the middle class.

Q: To whom do we owe all this money? Who owns the Debt?

A: Here is a pie chart showing the makeup, or ownership, of the National Debt as of December 1998.

As you can see, the largest slice of the pie, over 40%, is owed to the Federal Reserve, the central bank of the United States, and to other government accounts. BTW, The Fed is actually quasi-public (part private, part government) so calling it "part of the government" is not strictly true. You can find out more about The Fed by reading Wikipedia's excellent article

    Tt is destroying American families.

  7. Don't say that Wall Street controls America. Can you prove to me that the privately owned , run for great profit, no taxpaying, Federal Reserve Corporation does not manipulate Wall Street?

  8. The "New World" Orderers

are destroying our economy, and puting us on a path of endless wars,

because it is their plan to control the world,

with all that tax exempt money they are geting.

  9. The Dems need to go NUCLEAR on the filibuster and throw Lieberman overboard.

The Founders NEVER intended a 60 vote requirement to pass legislation, and Senate rules can NOT trump the Constitution of the United States.

  10. I voted for Obama. But I'm tired of blind faith. Hoping real reform will happen. If not now then when? In his first six months he had the opportunity to making sweeping changes. Where are the real changes? We voted him in. He has an obligation to US. When do we count? He promised change. Doing better than Bush doesn't count -- that's a given. He owes us, those that voted him instead of Hillary. I'm beginning to regret my vote.

  11. Exception! I thought Joe LIEberman left the Democratic Party, and is now an "independent." His is still very scary, though.

  12. Anyone that expected a more progressive president than the one that we have was hallucinating. Obama is as good as it gets when it comes to actually electing a president. To think that anyone expected someone different amazes me. America will NEVER elect a president that will fit the progressive "bill" more than Obama. It will never happen. Our country continues to move to the right, and Obama is the best that we'll ever have ... for the next 25 years, anyway.
