Glenn Beck Targets Frances Fox Piven | The Nation

Email Address:

I knew Frances in the early days of the welfare rights movement when the book she wrote with Richard Cloward shaped and supported the movement of welfare recipients who began to demand their rights to goods and services long denied to them. I watched as hundreds of welfare mothers found their voices and became leaders, finding within themselves the power to hold up their heads and demand respect. Frances is one of the heroines of the cause for justice and democracy—and this is why Glenn Beck doesn't like her.
