Angela Davis describes Obama as "the change that brings no change." Yet the same could be said of most of the candidates. So while I find these opinions about Obama as African-American offer an interesting perspective, the net of all of it is that the system is an equal-opportunity stick in the eye to all people who dream of what our country could be if we were truly represented.

So we do the best we can with what we have to work with, and work to have better choices next time. But alas, we never seem to get those choices, do we? That's certainly no excuse to give up; to the contrary, we of good conscience must redouble our efforts. That starts by holding all Democrats accountable in 2008 for their sins since 2006.
