The New York Executive Committee of the Harvard Graduate School Alumni Association cordially invites you to a talk by Steven R. Levitsky, John L. Loeb Associate Professor of the Social Sciences, on "Latin America's Left Turn: Causes and Implications." Steven Levitsky's primary areas of research include political parties, informal institutions and political regimes and regime change in Latin America. He is the author of Transforming Labor-Based Parties in Latin America: Argentine Peronism in Comparative Perspective (2003), and is currently engaged in research on the emergence and trajectories of competitive authoritarian regimes in Africa, Central Europe, Latin America and the former Soviet Union.
