    Brennan Center for Justice attorney Aziz Huq presents "12 Steps to Restore Checks and Balances," a comprehensive plan to rein in the Imperial Presidency. The panel includes: Eric Lichtblau, Justice Department reporter for the New York Times and author of the forthcoming Bush’s Law: Remaking American Justice; Charlie Savage, national correspondent for the Boston Globe and author, Takeover: The Return of the Imperial Presidency and the Subversion of American Democracy; Bruce Fein, who served in various capacities in the Reagan Justice Department, and writes weekly columns for the Washington Times and Politico; Hina Shamsi, staff attorney in the ACLU’s National Security Project and author of numerous publications on torture and extraordinary rendition; and Aziz Huq, director of the Liberty and National Security Project at the Brennan Center for Justice and co-author of Unchecked and Unbalanced: Presidential Power in a Time of Terror.
