Bankrupt GM Begins Slashing Jobs

The government has poured money into GM to help keep the company afloat, but the company is still slashing jobs. In Wilmington, Delaware, GM's only East Coast auto plant is closing, eliminating 500 jobs. Meanwhile, under the bankruptcy plan laid out by the Obama administration, loans to GM from big-name banks will be paid back in full--banks that have already received billions in government bailout money.
