While the voices of the banking industry and Wall Street financiers have dominated the negotiations of bailouts and economic recovery package, the debate has missed input from Labor and Social movements. Bill Fletcher, Jr. argued for the mobilization of groups with the political will to pressure the Obama administration on economic issues at a panel discussion on the crisis hosted by The Nation magazine and The Nation Institute. Fletcher joined Barbara Ehrenreich, Jeff Madrick, Joseph Stiglitz and Chris Hayes in identifying and resolving the causes of the economic collapse.
