Indiepix Films : A new film explores one of the most controversial aspects of American immigration policy: family detention.

In 2006, then-Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff ended the Immigration and Customs Enforcement's informal "catch-and-release" policy and instituted mandatory detention for illegal immigrants awaiting the outcome of asylum appeals or deportation proceedings--even those with young children. This trailer showcases the efforts of concerned citizens and the ACLU of Texas to shut down the controversial T. Don Hutto Residential Facility, a for-profit prison operated by the Corrections Corporation of America.
