Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) warns of getting bogged down in Afghanistan if the United States continues to follow misguided policies that echo those of the Vietnam era. Effectively combating international terrorism will mean giving up some of the military strikes that cause civilian deaths and creating alliances with other nations in the region to bring a multifaceted approach to fight terrorism.
