In the weeks since Israeli forces began a military campaign against Hamas in Gaza, protests around the world have drawn attention to the civilian deaths and brutal force of the attack. On Jan. 11, thousands in New York marched to the Time Warner building in Times Square to protest Israel's actions but also the mainstream media coverage they said misrepresented the realities of the Palestinian people. On stage, representatives from the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement and Neturei Karta, an Anti-Zionist Orthodox Jewish organization, linked the struggles of Palestinians in Gaza to those of oppressed people everywhere and called for an end to the attack.
