The presence of L. Craig dismays
Republicans, since it displays
An issue they don't want to raise:
That people who are gay these days
May not be two male fiancés
Who go in drag to cabarets
And cuddle lengthways on a chaise
And talk of opera and ballets.
The people who are gay these days
May be Republicans who praise
The right wing's antigay clichés.
Hypocrisy, which this conveys,
Could make it awkward bashing gays.
But count on them to find some ways.
