The Nation Institute has established the Spira-Lopez Journalism Internship for college students and graduates of Hispanic or Latino origin interested in magazine journalism and publishing. The internship program is administered by the institute, and interns apprentice in magazine journalism, editing and publishing at The Nation. The institute is now accepting applicants for the spring 2007 term, which will run from January 9 to May 25. The application deadline is November 17.
