Washington editor David Corn has been named a fellow in the "Security and Liberty in the Post-9/11 Era" reporting program of the Institute for Justice and Journalism at the USC Annenberg School. Nation contributing editor Marc Cooper, a senior fellow at the institute, will also participate in the program, which begins in November.
Congratulations to contributing editor Jon Wiener and the ACLU of Southern California for winning a court order for the release of the last ten pages of John Lennon's FBI file. Wiener, author of Gimme Some Truth: The John Lennon FBI Files, sees a "strange but distinct resonance" between the order and the start of the Vote for Change concert tour (see Wiener's web-only report, "Rocking the Vote--From 1972 to 2004").
