We're happy to welcome to the masthead two contributing writers whose beats will include media, politics and in particular ideas and intellectual debates. Eyal Press, a former contributing editor at Lingua Franca who's written for The Atlantic Monthly, the New York Times and other publications, has been contributing to The Nation since 1994. A former fellow at the Open Society Institute and a recipient of the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism, he's at work on a book chronicling the abortion wars in Buffalo. Scott Sherman comes to us from the Columbia Journalism Review, where he served as a contributing editor. Previously a contributing writer at Lingua Franca, he has written for such publications as the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Village Voice and Dissent. He has contributed to The Nation since 1997.
