Natalya Estemirova

Natalia Estemirova, an activist with the human rights group Memorial, is the first recipient of the RAW in WAR Anna Politkovskaya Award for women human rights defenders in war and conflict.

RAW in WAR (Reach All Women in WAR) established this award to honor other women around the world, who like Anna, are standing up for the victims, often at a great personal risk.
