Martin Duberman, Distinguished Professor of History at CUNY, is the author of more than twenty books. His biography Paul Robeson has just been reissued, and his novel Haymarket is available in paperback. His new book, The Worlds of Lincoln Kirstein, will be published by Knopf this spring.
