Laura Hershey is an author and activist whose articles have also appeared in Ms. magazine, the Progressive, and many other magazines, journals and anthologies. Hershey serves on the Board of Directors of Not Dead Yet, a national disability-rights group opposed to legalizing assisted suicide, euthanasia and medical discrimination.
