The Ten Minute Activist Easy Ways to Take Back the Planet

Reader Tip: Clean and Green Laundry

My tip revolves around the laundry. These tips save your clothes, as well as the environment.

    - Air dry, don't tumble dry: now that the sun is coming out to play, why not air-dry your clothes? The dryer is a big, ol' energy/ clothes eater. Watch your energy bill plummet.

    - Handwash: often those small spillages require a five-minute handwash. Again, putting it in the machine is the fast-track option for a high energy bill and the early ruin of your clothes.

    - 30 degrees (centigrade) is fine enough: most detergents work as well at any temperature. Oh, yeah - and your energy bill will be lower and your clothes will last longer.
