Hillary Clinton won Pennsylvania, but many Democratic primary voters say they'll vote for McCain in November.
So get ready for lots of chatter about this PA exit polling from Tuesday:
In a Clinton-McCain race, 11 percent of primary voters say they'd back McCain. In an Obama-McCain race, 15 percent of primary voters say they'd back McCain.
The Times trumpets these McCain voters in today's article about the "bruising" of the Democratic Party -- though only in reference to Obama:
About 15 percent of Democratic voters said they would vote for Mr. McCain over Mr. Obama in a general election.
Curiously, the article does not provide the same comparison for Clinton. If it did, the data would sound something like:
About 11 percent of Democratic voters said they would vote for Mr. McCain over Ms. Clinton in a general election.
But even if you equal out the coverage, these numbers are probably overblown, anyway. As you can see below, this hypothetical "support" for McCain is mostly comprised of voters unhappy with a question about their candidate losing. For example, in the Clinton match-up, two out of every three McCain voters are current Obama supporters. It would be highly unusual for so many Democratic primary voters to actually back the GOP candidate. (How many Obama supporters do you know who would pull the lever for McCain?) Maybe emotions just run high when you waltz out of the voting booth and find a pollster. Voters are obviously divided in this campaign, but exit polling is no guarantee for what the electorate will do after months of an actual race against McCain.

The entire process has beem deligitimized by HRC's "Obliterate Iran if it bombs Israel" election day pronouncement. It deligitimizes her, the party, and the integrity democracy.
To the editors of The Nation, in case you have become too Jew to remember: That isn't done. A key foreign policy pronouncement of this nature spotted in the last minute defines contempt for America.
What it says is:
HILL WILL KILL FOR JEWS FOR CASH.
And nothing can erase it.
I guess she thought it was OK since the Pope, if that is how you spell it, blessd 'em all at the 'gogue last Hitler's Passover birthday.

Great post, Rese.
It's the two together -- Catholic and Jew: old world old war old religions -- I see as sucking America's soul. But as such (as if they didn't have the right to exist -- somewhere together). Only because of MMI-VIII historical wedge driven into the American narrative by Reagan-Scalia-Baker-Bushite reptile clans. The Repub party was used to concentrate the forces out of which the Iraq war, U.S. Mid east policy and the insult to Jimmy Carter by the state of Israel, seconded by Aunt Jemima's rice and HRC's Satanic declaration crystalized. There's no use going metaphysical, which I approve, unless one is prepared to confront this particular institution of malevolence.

Correction: insert "not" between "But" and "as" in second sentence above.

Sweet merciful crap

Good thing you cleared that up, otherwise we might have thought badly of you.
Would that all anti-semites ended up like Hitler, in a ditch covered in petrol, on fire.

Ya got me, sorta. I didn't want to mix up hatred for Jews and Catholics as such with hatred of these particular political Zion-conned ones with their New e Holy See. That doesn't mean hatred of the genre as, in fact Satanic, Hitler's Pope redux Bush's, is misplaced. The last thing one would think of is being cared about (smiley).
What about the point that this HILL WILL KILL FOR JEWS FOR CASH stunt kills letitimacy of the entire process? Even people who don't hate Israel and the Vatica ought to be able to see that, not so?

BTW, it may be true...you might get some PA Dems voting for McCain.
But not because he's going to remain a "true blue Bush conservative", but because he's on his glide-path to moving to the Center and abandoning the Hard Right to win over the Indies and Mods.

The Nazis in this situation are the Dem-Repube constellation minus Obama.

Jones,
One can oppose religion in general or the Catholic Church in particular, and criticize a Black person like Condolezza Rice, without resorting to bigotry. You, apparently, are unable to do so.
Additionally, it really isn't hard to be anti-Zionist without being anti-Jewish. You've made one feeble attempt to claim that you are only the former when virtually everything else you've written has proved you the latter. You're a Jew-hating swine who should shut up and move on.
