In this kind of business, Republicans typically resign from positions within committees, ask forgiveness for their sins and hold to their "beliefs" for dear life while downnplaying the misuse of public funds.

Their sins are their problem, as are everybody's sins, and they should have no place in politics. Their repentance should not be their party's concern, nor ours.

They should resign from office, like Democrats always do when caught red-handed.

Their misuse of funds should be dealt with in court, where criminals are tried.

Their politics of "anything goes as long as it gets me near the nomination" should be dealt by voters... although I personally think a madhouse would be quite suitable sometimes, but we can't make this mandatory, can we?
