  • I've seen many examples of what's happening. For example, a factory I dealt with, with 850 jobs closed, but then they retooled and brought in alot of equipment, reopening with almost double the capacity, but with a staff of 225 now. I might also mention that the new plant was 400 miles away from the old one.

No, the old jobs aren't coming back! And that is why we absolutely must gear our policy to support the entrepreneurs who will create the jobs of the next generation.

My prime example of a job-killer is the absolutely stupid idea of forcing companies that are not yet profitable, or are otherwise struggling, to pay for health insurance or be punished with taxes. To do this in a bad economy when it is harder to break even, compounds the atrocity.

We need job creation and the growth of new companies, and need them very badly. That you can only get with new products and services.

    Basic economics.
