  • Thank you, dear Ben, for the article. It truly deserves wide circulation. We have truly been sold a bill of goods by our politicians, regardless of party. We have been sold a casino economics under the cute little phrases of deregulation, raising tides, anti-protectionism and globalism. Consequently, we have multibillionaires and a growing class of working and starving, if not dying of medical neglect, poor. During the flooding of New Orleans we had the media wondering why the people didn't get in their private jets and leave, and the military was called out to shoot people looting flooded Wal-Marts for food that couldn't be sold anyway. I don't think we are on our way to becoming a Third World country, I think we have arrived.
