I'm not sure that I agree with the author's assessment of Geno Auriemma, but it's good to see any significant coverage of women's team sports.

Note that UConn's women's basketball team is generally called the Huskies; please edit the "Lady" references out of your article. It's out-of-touch and condescending (and very surprising to come across in a progressive magazine such as The Nation).

For physicians, the starting point is "first, do no harm." For writers, it should be "first, get it right."

The University of Connecticut women's basketball team are the Huskies. They are not the "Lady Huskies."

Thanks to Dave for writing about the NCAA women's basketball tournament, and for his perspective that the players on the spectacular UConn team deserve the credit, not just the coach. Maybe because the women's players don't have much hope of making mega-bucks in a sports career, they don't get seem to get the same respect that the men do. Hope to hear about the women's tournament again next year (hope my alma mater, Wisconsin-Green Bay, gets further in it).
