We are exporting as much coal as we can mine which is good for our balance of trade, but is that good for global environment? Can coal be made clean? The Germans turned coal into diesel fuel during the war. We apparently have lots of coal and I live in an area with little wind and cloudy skies all year long. I'm really Leery of exotic technology that is years away and costs more than present day. Sounds like turning corn into booze to burn in cars. It costs more to produce the Jim Bean than it is worth and batteries wear out, so do solar panels. How much does 100 acres of solar panel cost?
