  • While I admit it is a minor point, I seriously object to the phrase "jump-start the economy." This presents a picture so opposite to reality as to be laughable when you think about it, as too few do.

    The economy has slowed down, but is still functioning in general, so...

    When I start going up a steep hill and the speed of my car drops from 55 down to 47, do I need to "jump-start" anything?
