What shocks me--even in the context of this colossal betrayal disguised as an election--is that Obama is naïve, corrupt or cornered enough to turn the country's agonizing economic disaster over to the very people who created it. After twenty years of Clintons, Bushes and the criminally complicit corporate media, I thought I was beyond shock. See: "Ponzi Scheme at CITI: Suit Slams Rubin," from the New York Post, Dec. 4; and "The Rubin Ponzi Scheme," on YouTube (Dec. 28).

Next: Summers vs. Volcker:

Okay, just for fun--who will Obama support?

I think we know. The best we can hope for is that the Rubin-Summers circle will collapse of its own criminal weight--with luck, before they have finished the work of destroying the American economy.

And by the way, Mr. President: If I had wanted a "centrist" corporate puppet--or, even more astounding, the third Clinton-neocon-DLC-corporate-owned administration--I would have voted for Hillary.

It should not be a surprise that the people who advised Obama on the economy in the election campaign should get the economic jobs. This is why I voted for Nader! The Clinton administration was Republican "Lite." The economic establishment gave liberals an African-American and a woman to chose between in this election. You voted for them because of what they were and not who they were. You cannot use race or gender in determining the fitness of a candidate, but you need to know what and who they represent.

Obama is not a bad person, but he is overly impressed by the Senate, advanced degrees and "successful" Wall Street operators.
