  • I am in complete agreement with this article. Mitchell is a good man and can do a good job. I think Obama is a bit of a control freak and a little nervous about foreign policy. Mitchell is on a listening tour and has to report back to him. Hopefully, he will give him more room to maneuver in the future. Mitchell should have fully interviewed Obama before he took the job. If tight limits are placed on him, he can't do his job properly. Certainly, he should keep Obama informed, but he needs delegated authority.
