  • Really, Ms. Weiss, is dismantling Guantánamo on a par with abolishing the innocuous (and I do mean innocuous) "gag rule"? Are you truly trying to follow a "moral compass" or are you merely adhering to a very ideological agenda? I do not want my taxes going for policies or programs to which I am morally opposed. Of course, for the most part, I cannot avoid or prevent my money going toward the above. Some of my money is going to go to vivisection, or funding black ops, or spying on fellow citizens, or the construction of that great wall to divide Mexico from the United States. There is not much I can do about it, but when I can favor or oppose a measure, I certainly will. In this case, Obama should leave the "gag rule" alone.
