  • This article was excellent, but is now hopelessly outdated by evolving events. The "Coalition" has basically been discredited and fallen apart, but maneuvering still continues. Good bet for a new election several months away, with a strong probability of an increased Conservative Party.

If the Liberal-New Democrat-Quebecois group had come together the day after the election, everything would have been fine. The sneakiness and delay until after the current cabinet was in place is what goes against the popular Canadian sense of fairness, and is viewed as at best semi-legitimate.
