  • I understand the occasional overheating or abuse of the economy. Given the criticisms of the capitalist system in the early twentieth century, I am wondering if the meltdown is a fatal blow.

The fundamental feature of this system is free marketing. Which means that the "market" hovers like a god over the economy of buying and selling and dictates all things relevant. But this god-like unseen hand is really the hand of the owners of production and their manipulating CEOs. The financial arm of the capitalist system has been destroyed by the siphoning of wealth from the barrel of the system into the penthouse of the super-rich, via overpriced salaries and other means.

My question is, Are we at the same position the old feudal system faced when , the fundamentals of the royalist system began to crack? What is the historical analysis to be made for the period we are in today?

  • Naomi Kein--sharp, isn't she? Is she left-handed? How about John Kenneth Galbraith Naomi? Maybe this will shut some of her critics up.
