  • Jesse Jackson may have done us a favor. While Iraq and Afghanistan were in the process of self-destructing, we spent the week discussing the merits of "nuts" and "nigger," and who had the right to use the words. At least Rev. Wright had the courage to yell out loud, Nah, nah, nah, not God bless America, Goddamn America. Our great American media has saved us again by creating this great moral outrage of the $400 haircut. We are saved, we are saved. I personally preferred the great words of Gen. Russel Honoré, who said, "Put those goddamn guns down. We aren't here to shoot these people. We are here to help." Not very good polemics, but effective and representative of what my America should be.
