  • Just a small aside to the origin of the title "Stick out your Tongue" described in the article: I remember from traveling in Tibet in 1986 that sticking out your tongue was the equivalent of a handshake among Tibetans. The reason, as I recall, was that demons have black tongues and showing right away that you were not a demon is common courtesy.
