  • All while globalists, free traders and corporate sycophants touted the strength of the American economy. I was watching CNBC this afternoon and couldn't help but notice the strange resemblance of the talking heads to characters in a mafia movie, no insult to the mafia intended. We exported Alaskan oil while people were burning their furniture, what a wonderful thing free trade is. While we increase our share of billionaires who fly around the world in corporate jets, people are walking several miles to work, and leaving their homes because they can't afford the mortgage and the heating bills. our great and trusted American corporation are hurrying to export the sweat equity of our parents, all while telling us that we are better off without healthcare and homes. Who the hell are the multinationals going to sell to when there are only cockroaches left? I also suspect that the billionaire crowd also hoarded oil supplies for their jets some years ago and they are still paying only pennies on the dollar for their multimillion-dollar homes. Like the queen of not-nice told Dan Rather, "Only the poor pay taxes." OK, they got her for that.
