  • I find it chilling that the government tells us that it has to shoot down a dangerous satellite that's falling to earth. That raises the question: How many more of them are up there?

    Back about... oh, 1959, I remember the American public expressed a lot of concern about us putting up dangerous satellites and we were roundly assured and reassured by our politicians and brilliant scientists that there was no danger. These things were built to completely burn up when they re-entered the atmosphere.

    Now they tell us they have to start shooting them down. Shouldn't the people who designed those things be sent to Leavenworth?
