  • This movie took sides in the contest between abortion and giving-up-baby-for-adoption, but nowhere does anyone mention contraception--not even when the boyfriend crawls back into Juno's bed only minutes after she has given birth! Juno's parents never mention the "C" (for contraception) word either; they clearly didn't want to risk their their "coolness" rating by coming over as Responsible Parents. I wanted to like this movie but left the theater wondering whether it had been funded by the anti-choice lobby--and wondering why even those critics who panned this pandering movie did not at least raise the question.
