  • Angela Davis describes Obama as "the change that brings no change." Yet the same could be said of most of the candidates. So while I find these opinions about Obama as African-American offer an interesting perspective, the net of all of it is that the system is an equal-opportunity stick in the eye to all people who dream of what our country could be if we were truly represented.

So we do the best we can with what we have to work with, and work to have better choices next time. But alas, we never seem to get those choices, do we? That's certainly no excuse to give up; to the contrary, we of good conscience must redouble our efforts. That starts by holding all Democrats accountable in 2008 for their sins since 2006.

  • Hispanics who are here legally have nothing to worry about. Hispanics and others from some 200 countries who are in fact criminals because they are illegal aliens are going to be severely punished, harshly treated and thrown out of our country, never to be allowed to return. To avoid this certainty, such Illegal Aliens should "self-deport" immediately by returning to their country of origin, and once there apply through proper channels to re-enter the USA legally. Thousands of tips daily are being made to INS/ICE and are being followed up to make sure the illegal aliens reported by American citizens to INS/ICE are in actual fact getting arrested and deported, never to return. The American people will not tolerate illegal aliens in the USA anymore. The message and warning is if an illegal alien (from any country on the planet) does not wish to be arrested, deported and absolutely banished and prohibited by deadly force from ever returning to the USA, then that illegal alien needs to "self-deport" immediately

  • Obama is a very bright guy, but he is young and doesn't have a clue about the real world. Senator Clinton does have a clue, but she is Republican-lite, and is the gentle form of conservatism that Bush claimed in the 2000 election. Neither one of them belong to the civil rights generation.

Obama has, I am sure, experienced some discrimination, but not to the level of those blacks involved in the civil rights movement in the South. But the basic question is, Does any candidate in the Democratic Party, represent the interests of not only black Americans but Americans in general. We are all in the same boat, and neither the Republicans nor the Democrats represent us! They represent big business and the multinationals!
