  • Another excellent article by Dave Zirin on sports. You can't get two characters more disparate than Barry Bonds and Scooter Libby, but they are intertwined in showing what's wrong with conservatives and Republicans in this country. Both Bonds and Scooter lied to a grand jury and the Feds, but somehow only Bonds committed a "real crime" and should be prosecuted in their eyes. Bad for baseball, eh? Maybe they should be urging President Bush to pardon Bonds in a two-fer. Funny, that.
