  • While I share Mr. Baker's concern about our going to war with Iran, this piece is really more appropriate for Jon Stewart's show than The Nation. My teenagers can splice together quotes from any source to make people look like buffoons, but what we need is more serious analysis of the real issues with Iran and with our real options for affecting change in that region. While I detest Bush and his cronies, and I am not a fan of Pipes et al., the regime in Iran truly is a threat to the entire Mideast region and if the "right" is the only side that is going to take them seriously, than the "left" will once again be resigned to clucking on the sidelenes and posting snarky blogs comments.

  • Guiliani must be out of his mind. The destruction of the US, Israel, and the Middle East is guaranteed with those nut cases running the show.
