  • It's all about the money. The more the fear card is played, the more the war-profiteering. Seems like the neocons don't want to end the "war on terror" (if it exists) so that they can make huge contracting profits. 9/11 was surely a means that they could capitalize on this. Why do the neocons keep on forgetting what Benjamin Franklin said, that when you sacrifice liberty for security you get neither, and FDR's famous speech, "we have nothing to fear but fear itself"? Notably, Keith Olbermann mentioned that neocons most likely assume that if the US Constitution is followed accordingly, then the terrorists will be allowed to attack America. The American voters are sure going to turn on the Republicans (except for possibly Ron Paul) come November 2008. Which are we to be more afraid of--the terrorists or the neocons that insist terrorists will attack American or Western soil without solid proof?
