  • A local retired Marine general wrote a one-page guest piece in the Tucson Weekly for 13-19 Jan. '05. He said: "Private militaries fly in the face of the Constitution.... In a democratic society private armies have never been a good thing." His name is J.F. Cronin. He wrote a book about Vietnam titled Signs Hanging on the Wire. Thought you might like to know about him, if you dont already. I sent copies of that page to Arizona senators and Congresspersons. Got no response.
