  • I have to disagree with this assessment. To put things in perspective, FDR didn't preside over a country that was physically devastated by the forces of Mother Nature; it was financially depressed due to a downturn in the economy from which we recovered fully.

    The way I see it, we can financially and physically repair New Orleans, but repairing its soul will take a lot longer.

  • Tax money taken from average Americans should not be used just to set up another future disaster. Rebuild New Orleans above sea level only!
