  • The Template, by Jon Wiener, et al., ad nauseam.

Mandate: Find a Republican presidential candidate to destroy in print.

Method: (1) Hint at an appearance of journalistic neutrality, contrasting candidate with current dreadful president's speaking talents. ( 2) Blame chaotic, disorderly response to unimaginable carnage on him. (3) Grasping at straws, allege cronyism & racism, no matter how weak supporting facts are. (4) Cleverly minimize any successes, no matter how significant. (5) Compare to the devil, Mr. Bush.

It's sad how educated, free-thinking folks like you and your ilk follow this same tired, worn out template that only accomplishes one thing: lowering our political discourse.

The Template will never truly affect positive change. It's merely a forum where pessimists and pouters can get their daily fix and march on, less enlightened than before. Try again professor, that essay was rubbish.
