  • I'd be very interested in seeing Mr. Hitchens's take on things now. His man won. Does he celebrate Bush's performance since? Does he perhaps see that it wasn't only a one-issue election, as Mr. Bush does his best to erode American civil rights across the board? The war will end; the damage to our democracy will last much longer.
