There was a report that US Marines would be sent to Georgia to train their troops for service in Afghanistan. We don't need Marines anywhere near Georgia, and Georgia does not need to become involved in Afghanistan. Frozen conflicts in "old" Europe are none of our business. NATO was supposed to be a defensive alliance. and Russia is no longer an offensive threat. What are we doing in Russia's backyard?

If Georgia were stupid enough to become involved in an Israeli attack on Iran, they can expect a counter-strike from Iran. Iran has already said there would be an increase in terrorism if they are attacked, and Georgia isn't that far from Iran. Georgia was stupid enough to attack Russia. They are capable of any idiocy!

One "cold war" was enough for me, and I don't want hot ones involving either Russia or Iran.
