There's been another spate of op-eds in the Times and elsewhere trumpeting DDT as the cure-all for malaria in the developing world. This campaign is being run by a bunch of American Enterprise Institute "scholars" who've created an organization called Africans Fighting Malaria. It's sad that they've enlisted Tina Rosenberg of the Times in their cause.

So I was glad to find this excellent piece by Ms. Shah on your website. But The Nation needs to do a more in-depth piece about why the President's Malaria Initiative, the World Health Organization's Roll Back Malaria Initiative and the hundreds of millions being poured into malaria research by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is failing miserably in turning the tide against this deadly disease, which claims 1-2 million lives a year in the developing world, most of them small children.

I'm doing a lot of research in this area, and would be more than happy to write something for the magazine if anyone is interested.
