The article discusses several issues related to politics and government in the U.S. The author points out that the people in the U.S. have held on to the country's Constitution and Bill of Rights no matter how corrupt its government have become. He tells about a statement prepared by Benjamin Franklin, urging a convention to accept the Constitution despite what he took to be its great faults. He also points out the opinion by former President John Quincy Adams, who believes that the U.S. does not take up all foreign affairs.
