The article presents information about the book "The Beast Reawakens," by Martin A. Lee. The book begins with the 1944 attempted assassination of Nazi Dictator of Germany Adolf Hitler. Lee portrays an adroit strategy by the most brilliant Nazi minds surviving World War II to insinuate themselves into places of influence in the post-war order so as to manipulate it toward their own National Socialist aims. They later passed the torch to a post-cold war generation of neo-Nazis. Lee avoids sanctimonious self-congratulations on the niceties of Western democracy.
