The author supports U.S. Senators John Kerry and Tom Dascle's opposition to U.S. President George W. Bush's policy on Iraq War despite negative coverage by mass media. Republicans like Dennis Hastert, Marc Racicot and Bill Frist are proprietors of much of the cable-television/talk-radio universe, where their comments are faithfully rehearsed. They also enjoy good review from the likes of conservative pundits Frank Gaffney and Ramesh Ponnuru wrote columns praising Newt Gingrich's remarks in "National Review."' This only shows how U.S. politics are now being driven by a toxic combination of jingoism, self-righteousness and nearly divine faith in the rectitude of a President who favors of a no-holds-barred assault on those who stand in the way of his extremist agenda.
