This article presents information about the book "The Tunnel: The Underground Homeless of New York City," by Margaret Morton. Morton's book is a book of photographs and text about people living in the subway tunnel underneath Riverside Park. As far as text goes, Morton has allotted herself only a tight-lipped little nouns-and-verbs prologue that outlines in four paragraphs the history of the Riverside Park tunnel and homeless people living in or around it, plus an equally laconic epilogue that relates the movements of her subjects since she photographed them.
