The article reports that the first round of governor Pete Wilson's "exploratory" Presidential campaign in the U.S. has been less than stellar. Struggling for name recognition and organizational support in New Hampshire, the Left Coast Governor gets referred to by local politicos as "Steve" Wilson. But beginning the race as an underdog may not bother the 61-year-old ex-Marine. After all, Wilson was the incumbent governor who started out his re-election campaign twenty points behind challenger Kathleen Brown and wound up trouncing her by a fifteen-point margin.
